Dear D-Back Football Fans,
We want to take this time to thank all of the friends, fans and families of D-Back Football for your awesome support over the years. It is due to the generous support of people like you that we were able to put together a quality football program.
Each year the D-Back Football Program seeks to raise the funds necessary to put a safe and successful team on the field in the fall. While funding from the school district provides us with the basics, we as a team must raise the money for new equipment, jerseys, camps, transportation, T-shirts, summer tournaments, video technology, scouting trips, computer programs, instructional videos and books, coaches clinics, and many more items that go into making the D-Backs a winning program. We believe that no athlete in our program should be excluded from participation in camps and summer tournaments for financial reasons, nor should they play without proper cleats and equipment. We provide the funding for any athlete who has a financial hardship, so that he can participate to the best of his ability. The cost to suit up a player for a game totals over $450 for each athlete. We suit up over 80 players each week. For our fund raising efforts in 2008 we are asking generous individuals to contribute to our D-Back Football Club. This club will give recognition to those who support our student/athletes and our program. Each donor will be acknowledged in the 2008 D-Back Football Program and on our web-site.
Century’s Football program is an integral part of the students experience at Century High School. Not only for the athletes, but the student body as a whole. The team is a source of school pride and entertainment. For the players it promotes a strong work ethic, and a sense of loyalty to one another.
Over the years you helped several students play football that would of never had the opportunity without the financial support. These student/athletes have also created memories that will be with them for a lifetime. In order to continue these outstanding accomplishments we are counting on the continued support of charitable people like yourself.
